The only noticeable downside to the Nabi Jr. is its poor battery life. It is recommended to purchase a back-up battery so the tablet can be powered up when the child is ready to play.

Slate tablets are terrific devices for reading, writing, playing, and learning. The three models included here are great introductory devices as they are each budget friendly priced under $100.
